RR 3.1
Develop and utilise advanced pre-hospital medical expertise in order to provide effective sustained care for critical care patients in situations of prolonged wait for retrieval.
RR 3.2
Arrange referral to distant services in collaboration with the patient and/or carer(s), considering the balance of potential benefits, harms and costs.
RR 3.3
Anticipate and judiciously arrange safe patient transfer within own facility and to other facilities, considering clinical indications, available resources, service capabilities, patient preferences, transportation, geography and distance.
RR 3.4
Ensure adequate prehospital and ED cover when transporting a critically ill patient.
RR 3.5
Communicate effectively at a distance with consulting or receiving clinical personnel.
